Our Factory Earns National Recognition for Smart Manufacturing

Our flexible manufacturing facility has been recognized by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) as a 2026 Excellence-Level Smart Factory. The factory produces heavy equipment for the building materials industry.

The facility addresses a familiar challenge in heavy equipment manufacturing: producing many different products in small batches while switching quickly between jobs. It combines AI applications, automated equipment and connected management systems to coordinate production around these requirements.

Its equipment includes large CNC machine tools, robotic welding systems, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for heavy loads, and automated storage and retrieval systems. Together, these systems support machining, welding, materials handling and storage within a flexible production environment.

Edge gateways collect data from production equipment and feed it into a shared platform, linking machines and production lines with workshop, factory and corporate management systems. The factory also connects R&D, procurement, production, warehousing, logistics, sales and service, alongside energy and carbon asset management systems. This integration is intended to improve coordination from equipment design through manufacturing and delivery.

The Excellence-Level designation forms part of China’s tiered smart factory development programme. The programme assesses the integration of digital technologies and intelligent decision-making across design, production, management and operational collaboration.

We plan to expand the use of proven smart manufacturing applications across our operations and deepen digital coordination with suppliers and partners.
